DOCOMO PACIFIC customers raise funds for Relay For Life

Tamuning, Guam (July 31, 2020) – DOCOMO PACIFIC, regional leader in innovation, telecommunications, & entertainment assists in raising funds for this year’s Relay For Life event.

Relay For Life continues to be a memorable annual event on Guam focused on celebrating those touched by cancer, remembering loved ones lost, and taking action for lifesaving change. The event is normally located on the George Washington High School football field, but due to the ongoing pandemic, the event went virtual for the first time via a live KUAM broadcast on June 27, 2020.

From June 25th – June 29th, DOCOMO PACIFIC launched a “Text to Give” campaign, which allowed its customers to donate through text. During this period, 188 DOCOMO PACIFIC customers texted ‘HELP’ contributing a total of $940 towards the cause. 100% of the funds are donated directly to the American Cancer Society and will be used to continue with cancer research, the 24/7 helpline, and for continuing services to get patients the care and support they need where we can.
