DOCOMO PACIFIC supports Relay For Life Survivor Drive N’ Wave event

Tamuning, Guam (July 14, 2021) – DOCOMO PACIFIC, regional leader in innovation, telecommunications, & entertainment, supports Relay For Life Survivor Drive N’ Wave event.

The Relay For Life is a movement dedicated to helping communities in the fight against cancer. For many years, the event was held at the George Washington High School Football Field in Mangilao. Thousands of community members would come together to celebrate cancer survivors, encourage those currently undergoing treatment, and remember loved ones. With the social distancing measures in place, the American Cancer Society got creative and decided to host multiple Relay events this year beginning with the Survivor Drive N’ Wave.

DOCOMO PACIFIC is proud to show support for the first Survivor Drive N’ Wave event which was held at the Tiyan High School on Saturday July 10, 2021. Multiple teams surrounded the track and cheered as survivors drove through the course in their cars. Though it was not the traditional way we celebrate Relay, the survivors strolled by with smiles on their faces knowing they have a community behind them. The next Relay event is the Luminaria Ceremony, which more details will be provided in the weeks to come.

"Our Relay For Life celebration has transitioned from the traditional one day, in person event into a yearlong celebration. We invite everyone in our community to take part in each of the events, especially the Survivor Drive N Wave in July and the luminaria exhibit in August, both of which are at the heart of every Relay For Life."
