DOCOMO PACIFIC launches online, mobile, TV, and home phone services in the Marianas; announces $500,000 community investment

Gualo Rai, Saipan— DOCOMO PACIFIC is excited to announce the commercial launch of our full range of fixed and mobile services on Saipan, Tinian, and Rota. These new products and services offer choice and value across the CNMI, allowing our customers to connect to the widest 4G LTE network in the Marianas, experience the first triple-digit online speeds up to 100 Mbps, watch high-definition (HD) TV channels, and enjoy TiVo— the state of the art television entertainment system, now available for the first time in the CNMI exclusively through DOCOMO PACIFIC.

To celebrate the CNMI debut of these new products and services, DOCOMO PACIFIC, together with United Airlines, sponsored the “ONE Marianas Movie & Music Night” on August 12 at the Francisco Palacios Baseball Field on Saipan and on August 19 at the AMB Amphitheater on Tinian. These events featured the 2016 Island Music Award-winning group “The Dolls” from Guam, as well as local artists, in addition to a free outdoor movie for families to enjoy along with free food, drinks and giveaways. The final installment of the “ONE Marianas Movie & Music Night” will be held on August 26 at the Roundhouse on Rota.

In keeping with the spirit of being one with the community, DOCOMO PACIFIC will make $500,000 worth of investments in the areas of education, healthcare, and public safety in the CNMI. DOCOMO PACIFIC is already in discussions with education, healthcare, and public safety professionals to determine the most pressing community needs. As part of the investment, DOCOMO PACIFIC plans to improve telemedicine in the Marianas, help close the “homework gap” by giving kids expanded access to computers and online services, and use technology to ensure a safer environment for CNMI residents and visitors.

Being one with our island community is part of the foundation of DOCOMO PACIFIC. We are excited that our new ATISA submarine fiber-optic cable system allows us to offer choice and help invest in critical areas in education, healthcare, and public safety.
