SAIPAN – Docomo Pacific recently partnered with the Commonwealth Healthcare Corporation Clinic (CHCC) to update the look and feel of the clinic's pediatric ward in the wake of Typhoon Soudelor.
"Following Typhoon Soudelor, we were moved to take action that would uplift the community by revamping an integral part of the community," said Jonathan Kriegel, president and CEO of Docomo Pacific. "Our CHCC initiative is intended to inspire a benevolent attitude with everyone that engages with the pediatric ward."
Docomo associates completed the first phase of the makeover by repainting the clinic earlier this month. The company is now designing and painting the clinic with friendly underwater animals to create a comforting and fun environment for the clinic's young patients.
On March 19, Docomo Pacific held a golf tournament at Laolao Bay Golf and Resort to support the revamping of the clinic’s interior. All proceeds benefitted the Docomo and CHCC partnership in their renovation project to lift the spirits of their community.
The charity event raised more than $11,000 and was made possible through donor contributions from Calvo’s SelectCare, DFS Saipan, First Hawaiian Bank, Tan Siu Lin Foundation, Marianas Management Corporation and in-kind donors Delta Air Lines Inc., Pacific Trading Company, Marianas Pacific Distributors, Hyatt Regency Saipan, Triple J Enterprises Inc. and JC Tenorio Enterprises.
