DOCOMO PACIFIC to heavily invest in network following outages

Tamuning, Guam (May 06, 2022) – DOCOMO PACIFIC, regional leader in innovation, telecommunications, & entertainment, commits urgent focus and additional capital investment to improve network reliability following recent outages.

On Thursday May 05, 2022, our DOCOMO PACIFIC customers experienced a major outage affecting Internet and fixed services. The outage lasted approximately seven hours. Additionally, our Call Centers in both Guam and CNMI were unable to receive calls. The exact cause is under investigation, but service issues began with an unscheduled power outage that happened in Guam around 7 a.m.

"You rely on us to stay connected with your family, friends, co-workers, and customers. As your trusted telecom provider, we hold ourselves to the highest standards but with recent interruptions, we have not delivered. We will do everything we can to regain your trust, beginning with an immediate credit to customers affected by yesterday’s outage. Starting today and over the next year, we will commit the necessary capital resources focused on our internet service to meet your high expectations.”

Roderick Boss, President & CEO, DOCOMO PACIFIC

DOCOMO PACIFIC customers affected by the May 5th outage will receive a $5.00 credit reflected in the next billing cycle.
